The Senior Software Engineer (SSE) is responsible for developing software programs based on design specifications; planning, executing, and documenting unit tests; reporting status and risks; documenting detailed designs; and being accountable for unit test leakage. The SSE works independently, contributes to system architecture and technical design decisions, reviews code, and ensures overall technical quality across modules.
Responsibilities
- Develop software programs based on design specifications in compliance with the company’s established coding quality standards
- Work independently and take ownership of features or modules from design to deployment
- Plan, execute, and document unit tests; proactively report status, risks, and issues
- Perform code reviews, provide technical guidance to team members, and refactor code when required to improve maintainability and performance
- Contribute ideas and recommendations to system architecture and technical design decisions
- Participate in planning, estimation, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance phases of the software development lifecycle
- Identify technical risks and propose mitigation solutions
- Mentor junior engineers and support their technical growth
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent qualification
- Strong experience in mobile application development
- Experience with Kotlin
- Experience with Android application architectures (Clean Architecture, MVC, MVP, MVVM)
- Experience with Android frameworks and libraries (Dagger, Koin, Hilt, Coroutines, RxJava, Jetpack, etc.)
- Experience with mobile database libraries (Android Room, SQLite, Realm, Core Data, etc.)
- Experience with React Native development, including TypeScript, state management, native module integration, and performance optimization
- Understanding of cross-platform mobile development best practices
- Good English communication skills
