Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain database scripts, functions, stored procedures to support application development
- Develop and maintain ETL solution
- Assist Developers/Testers with database activities
- Process the client’s requests, feedback and fix the bugs
- Troubleshoot database performance related and tune complex database queries
- Participate in database design, ETL architecture design
- Review SQL statements and stored procedures written by developers
- Attend all regular meetings of the assigned projects
Qualifications
- 3+ years’ experience in Data Engineering
- Good knowledge of SQL, database design and programming, CDC
- Good knowledge of security and performance in software development
- Good problem-solving skill, passionate in software development or developing technical skills are preferred
- Able to work independently, help others to solve technical issues
- Good knowledge of code quality, coding standard and principles
- Strong understanding of coding principles like loosely coupling, dependency injection …
- Has knowledge of containerization and cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP
- Understands DevOps practices and is able to build and maintain basic CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI.
- Has knowledge of Generative AI and experience using common AI tools in SDLC, such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor,…
- Ability to review and validate the AI outputs before using it
- Can perform code review properly
- Can do normal documentation and presentation tasks
- Able to understand English materials and handle normal English verbal conversation for workrelated matters
- Accountable and proactive
- Strong experience with two of well-known RDBMS such as SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, IBMDB2
- Good understanding of database architecture, data modelling, schema design and development
- Experienced in Data migration, Data Warehousing (ETL) using SSIS, and Business Intelligence tools like Power BI, IBM Cognos, Tableau, etc.
- Good knowledge in database sizing, maintenance and performance optimizing
- Good knowledge about scalable database development and deployment
- Good knowledge of big data, data analytics services on Azure and AWS is a plus
